An RV VIN check is a valuable tool because it provides crucial information about the RV's history, possibly helping you avoid costly surprises. It may identify potential legal ownership issues or indicators of possible fraud along with the vehicle's registration and specifications, which is especially important when buying multi-stage construction vehicles like motorhomes. By running an RV VIN check and generating a full RV History Report, you can uncover details such as:

A Vehicle History Report is an invaluable tool in the used RV or Motorhome purchase process. To generate your RV history report, all that you will need is the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). On most RVs including Class A, B, & C motorhomes, this number can be located on the driver's door jamb. If you don't find it here, look through the windshield at the driver's side; the number should be permanently imprinted on the dashboard. You can also check under the hood on the engine firewall or radiator support bracket.
The RV VIN may be located under the hood, permanently engraved on the chassis/frame, near the axles, inside one of the wheel wells or on the underside of the front or rear frame.
Most modern road legal vehicles will display a VIN plaque permanently installed on the driver side dashboard, easily visible from the outside looking through the windshield.
The VIN is also commonly found on the door jamb on a permanent sticker or engraved directly into the metal. Some RVs may feature the VIN around the driver side door while others may place it inside the main door, frame or even on the exterior wall outside the main door.
